Idaho Registered Contractor  #RCT - 27626

Dear Prospective Clients,

Thank you for visiting my website.  I specialize in the inspection of residential real estate for the
purpose of identifying defects within the home. Any existing home will typically reveal at least
some problems or maintenance items to an experienced home inspector.   As you consider an
inspection company, please explore the different pages within this site.  I hope you find this
information both interesting and informative and I hope that you will consider allowing
Homeworks to perform your inspection.

Why Use Homeworks?
A thorough inspection is the only inspection worth paying for and I understand the importance of
getting your inspection right!  I strive to exceed the
ASHI Standards of Practice on every job.
Homeworks is ASHI Certified, Fidelity Bonded and Insured.

Idaho has no Licensing Requirements for Home Inspectors... Anyone can be a home inspector in
Idaho.  Some of these "inspectors" may be qualified and certainly some are not.

I'm fully certified with the American Society of Home Inspectors.  To obtain this certification I
passed the
National Home Inspector Exam, the ASHI Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
Exams.  I also provided proof to ASHI of the completion of at least 250 professional, fee-paid
inspections and passed ASHI's Report Verification Process.  I am currently approaching 8 years in
this business with almost 1000 fee paid inspections to date.

I am required to take a minimum of 20 continuing education credits annually to maintain my ASHI
certification.  This helps ensure that I am abreast of the latest information regarding home
inspection issues and changes to building standards and regulations.

Homeworks has a 95.4% ASHI consumer survey satisfaction rating.  This rating is generated by
anonymous survey results.  Survey cards are given to the client at each inspection.

I provide a computer generated narrative written report, with digital photos, usually within just a
few hours of the physical inspection.  Of course, a verbal summary is available at the conclusion
of the inspection.

Satisfaction Guarantee...
I will work hard to earn your trust and respect.  At the conclusion of your inspection, once you've
reviewed your report, If you're not satisfied that a complete and thorough inspection has been
conducted on your behalf, I will refund your inspection fee (certain conditions apply).

Thank you for your consideration!

Sincerely,

Matthew Merlino

Remember...

"Before purchasing a new or existing home it is highly recommended by real estate professionals to have the property inspected  for existing and potential problems..
These problems vary from the obvious to the not-so-obvious.  It is imperative to have a trained professional identify any existing or potential problems that may be present.
Before following through with such an important investment, be sure to have the house and property inspected by a qualified and experienced home inspector."
